We have added a fur baby to our little family.

Devon Adele is a purebreed German Shepard that we purchased July 3^rd. We were walking in the mall and past the pet store since it was on the way to the kids play area and ther she was. It was love at first sight for her and Aaron.

The girls absolutly love her and she is very sweet to them. They vet said she should get to be around 100lbs! She has already learned to sit and shake with both paws and is now working on lay down. She is 90% housebroken and is being kennel trained. She does great on walks and loves to chase birds.

I have always loved German Shepards and Aaron had one named Chole that he loved so much. I was happy to be able to get him another puppy that he can love again because Chole had to be put down because of Addison’s Diease and hip displysia. We did ask the vet about Devon perhaps getting the same thing and she did say that as long as we are looking for it, the earlier we notice the quicker we can get it fixed.

Devon is now a offical member of our family and will make a great addition for years to come.

Well I made a drastic change. Of course if you are a friend on facebook or have seen me at work you already know.

As I had sworn never to do this I did...

I started using John Frieda's Voluming Shampoo and Conditioner and for some reason the ingredients they use in it made my hair feel like straw and start to break....BAD! I was looking like a had a mullet. So I decided to give my hair a break and cut it all off and color back to my natural color. I feel I look older with ark short hair but it has been very easy to maintain. Now of course I love A LOT of John Freida's products especially their Blonde collection, but I'm sad to say I cant recommend the volume shampoo and conditioner unless you want your hair to break off. So what do you think is it a keeper or should I go back to blonde or just grow my hair out? Comments and thoughts welcome :)

First day of Kindergarden

Addison started her first day of Kindergarten this past Monday and is doing fantastic! She awoke bright and early ready to get the day going. We of course have our first parent/teacher conference September the 9th to see where she is at as far as kindergarten standards go.

Shelby started 4th grade and it is absolutely mad

ss that she will be graduating from high school in just 9 years! She is a amazing student and does so well with reading and of course being very smart. Mackenzie started 3rd grade and is enjoying being a year higher in school. She will graduate in 10 years. I feel old.

I have decided to adventure out into the world of Entrepreneurship and start my own small business on Etsy. I have always be crafty and love creating and giving my creations to the ones I love. I have made personalized name canvases for children for about a year that I have given to family and close friends but I think I'm ready to step out a little further and offer customized orders for sale.

The other part of the store, the part I am really excited about, is making personalized hand stamped metal necklaces Dahlia Cabochon rings. I have always loved them and I believe I can make some that people would actually like to buy. Now I know there are a TON of different ‘stores’ that sell similar things, however, I want to create gorgeous pieces at a affordable price. I know I have looked at many etsy stores for a personalized necklace but the ones I love are so expensive. I'm prepared to be very competitive hehe.

Little Whispers will have canvases for now until I get some jewelry samples done and I am working on my branding, packaging, ‘marketing’ things like that. I am super excited and cant wait to show you my first pieces. I have made a facebook page that I can take orders from and discuss what kind of vision you are wanting for your little one’s nursery.
I know it doesn't come easy but I figured if I get the word out we will see how it goes. So tell all your friends!!

Addison is 5

My gorgeous girl Addison turned 5 on May 2nd. We decided the following Saturday we went to Legacy Park and had pizza and cupcakes. Nana, Anson, and Carson came. Along with her sisters, Daddy Tom and Zeph.

Addison is the ball of energy for our little family. She is a awesome big sister and a great helper for mom and dad.

She has the best sense of humor and can make you fall in love with her with just a smile.

Aaron and I are so lucky to have this little girl in our lives and we are so blessed to raise her.

3 year BLOG BIRTHDAY!!

I have been blogging for three years now. Over the years I have included, two pregnancies, two births, two moves and multiple recipes.

I love blogging and I was doing more when I was staying home but now that I am a full time working mom it is a little more difficult.

I think I will always blog and if the end of the year goes as we hope I will be able to stay home and do it more. My goal for this year and my blog is to post more about things that I do and more pictures.

I use to take a ton of pictures when staying home and now I feel I have been neglecting that. To all that reads my blog thanks I really do enjoy sharing my life and experiances :)

Kimber is 1!!!

April 18, 2010 Aaron and I were blessed with little Kimber Bryce-Bailey coming into this world so tiny but with a great pair of lungs.

Kimber is now 1 years old and offically no longer a infant :( Since Kimber is the last baby for Aaron and I it is bittersweet to see her growing. She has been the most smiley baby and loves her daddy like no other. We had a family get together for her on Sunday and the theme was monkies.

We have always called her a monkey since she was born cause she looked like one lol.

I made monkey cupcakes that were fudge cake with peanut butter frosting and a special little cake for Kimkim that was starwberry cake with cream cheese filling and fudge icing. She of course she loved having her own little cake.

She got a lot of much needed clothes a little walker. She is on the verge of taking steps on her own and this will help with the process.

Thanks to everyone that came and for those who couldn’t we know you were there in spirit 

Prayers for Aaron

As many of you may or may not know my husband Aaron was in the Army and deployed to Iraq for a long and drawn out 15 months. Like many soldiers he received injuries due to combat and Aaron has been going to the VA for medical reasons. On Friday, we drove up to Amarillo, Tx which is about 2 hours from our home town to the VA hospital to get a Echo-gram and CT scan. The CT scan was for his TBI (traumatic bran injury) and the Echo-gram was for his hard condition he has had since after a year in service. He has bad chest pains that can bring him to his knees as if someone is stabbing him in the middle of his chest. They were never able to diagnose what it was exactly before he was discharged from the Army and the doctors at the VA are now trying to figure out what it is. During the Echo-gram the tech looked concerned and said they they can now see what is wrong now that he was probing the problem and he also focused on his liver. Well of course, the tech can't tell you any diagnosis because the cardiologist has to make that decision. However, we are a little concern about the findings and wont know what they truly found out for about two weeks. Please pray for Aaron and our family as we wait and place calmness all around Aaron. He is being treated for other things as well which I may post after we have more information. God has us go through everything for a reason and we are truly believing in that and relying on Him to show us His plan.

Sickness in the Klein House

Well, unfortunatly all of us in the Klein house has gotten sick with a yucky stomache bug. To spare you the details it started with Sydnee on Saturday and each day each day someone else had it with Aaron and I ending with it yesturday. Boo on stomache flu! Luckily, we are much better.

Mom's wedding was great on Saturday and I will soon have pictures of that. Mom and Anson are so happy and the whole family is happy for them. I also got a new sister, Grace, who is going to be such a lovely lady! They are enjoying a wonderful honeymoom in Hawaii.

Sour Cream Pound Cake

Paula Deen’s Sour Cream Pound Cake

Ive really been in the baking mood lately. I am making some special cake balls for a family get together after Momma’s rehearsal dinner and will post that later. Today I made Paula Deen’s Sour Cream Pound Cake.

Oh my goodness, while it was baking it smelled soo good that I couldn't wait for it to be done and slice into it. I personally don’t like toppings for my pound cake but you can always do a easy glaze, fresh fruit, or powder sugar. The recipe calls to bake for 40-60 minutes. After 40 minutes, mine was still really gooey so a hour made it perfect.

Here’s the recipe:

Ingredients
• 1 stick butter, room temperature
• 1 1/2 cups sugar
• 1/2 cup sour cream
• 1/4 teaspoon baking soda
• 1 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
• 3 large eggs
• 1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract

Directions
Preheat oven to 350 degrees F.
In a large mixing bowl, cream the butter and sugar together. Add the sour cream and mix until incorporated. Sift the baking soda and flour together. Add to the creamed mixture alternating with eggs, beating in each egg 1 at a time. Add vanilla.
Pour the mixture into a greased and floured loaf pan. Bake for 40 minutes to 1 hour or until toothpick inserted into the center of the cake comes out clean.

It is so easy to make and taste delicious!

Spring Break and St. Patrick's Day

Its been a very full house in the Klein home this week. Aaron’s mom, Maria, and his brothers, Seth and Caleb, drove from Arizona to come visit us for a week. Of course, the girls loving having G-ma here to play and take them for morning walks. Its was great time with them and we will miss them. Pray for their 13 hour journey back to Arizona today.

With yesterday being St Patrick’s Day,my mother in law made awesome Corn Beef with potatoes and carrots. Very tasty! At work, we did a potluck and there was a ton of yummy food. I took lil smokies in bbq sauce and I wanted to take cake balls. I had this awesome vision of how they would turn out.

Just a word to the wise, FOLLOW THE MELTING DIRECTIONS FOR CHOCOLATE ON THE BAG!!!

Of course, I thought I could be quicker and melt two bags of white chocolate straight in a sauce pan. Um, no. I had it too hot and then it was starting to brown and then I had the GREAT IDEA to try and finish melting it in the microwave.

No Bueno :(

The cake balls themselves came out great but it was the chocolate coating that I had to improvise on that. I ended up pouring just a little chocolate sauce on top with green sprinkles and calling them ‘Ice cream Cake Balls’. They tasted good and everyone at work liked them too. When it comes to baking of course its always TRIAL AND ERROR.

Craftiness

As some of you know I love cooking new recipes, baking, crafts, and DIY projects. I really don’t have a lot of time as I did before I started my full time job but one thing that I do love to do is search through peoples’ craft and DIY blogs. Ok, it’s more of an obsession of mine to find new ideas and save them to my favorites or add to my side bar for favorite blogs.

I have been working really hard since the beginning of the year to motivate myself into doing new projects and not giving up when it didn’t come out as plan. That is my greatest down fall is getting discouraged. In my fantasy world I would make and bake things and sell on an Etsy store lol. Well, with living with energetic little girls and working full time, that’s not in my grasp at the moment.

I have decided to start small. Make a ring here, bake cupcakes there, organize something every weekend and posting on my blog the process. Hopefully, that will motivate me to keep at it.

Weightloss

I have been watching my calorie intake and since I had Kimber 10 months ago (April 18th) I have lost 30lbs. I feel better about myself and getting a little more selfesteem. No this is not a pity party and while yest many say I am pretty us women know that we have our own images of ourselves in our head. I have 10 lbs to go to get to my goal weight and then its all about the toneing.

One thing I will be doing is Zumba for kinects

I like dancing but dont want to do it infront of people lol So will be starting that and then updating my progress. I also need to buy a scale and keep track of that. Im sure the girls will enjoy doing it with me. I cant lose too much weight since I have my dress for my mom's wedding which fits great and I dont want it to look baggy.

I know a lot of working out is self control and disipline and I need to make sure that I show my girls that you if you want something no matter what it is that you have to motivate yourself and work hard.

I have been blessed with children that are not very picky with their meals. Yes they do have their favorites but usually they are great. Kelly’s Korner is featuring what you feed you toddler/preschoolers and with me having a preschooler, toddler, AND baby I thought this would be good for me to add my two cents.

Now I will have to be honest, I wish I had the time to spend fixing gourmet lunches and dinners but with working full time I do my best so please don’t judge lol.

So here are a few things we like to eat for meals,

BREAKFAST-
Cereal (we do a rotation so we don’t get tired of one kind. Currently the kids are liking Captain Crunch Berries)
Strawberry instant oatmeal
Chocolate chip pancakes(only on Family Sunday morning breakfast)
Scrambled eggs with cheese and chalua hot sauce (don’t ask me why but my kids like it spicy)

LUNCH-
PB&J or PB&B (peanut butter and banana)
EZ MAC microwaveables
Hot dog and ketchup with apple sauce

DINNER-
Marinade chicken (lowery’s garlic and herb) with mashpotatoes
Spaghetti ( we have this at least once a wekk)
Hamburger Helper (Aaron and the kids fav)
Chicken A La Leslie (recipe in blog archives)

SNACKS-
Fruit snacks
Jello cups
Goldfish
Cheese sticks
Capri suns bag drinks

So there is kind of a rundown of my kiddos favorite things to eat. Of course there are those recipes I try new and no one likes but hey at least I try 

New Routine

My new morning routine

6:45am-wake up

7:00am- get girls up and changed

7:15am- breakfast

8:00am- clean around the house/pick up girls room

8:30am- lay Kimber down for morning nap

9am- get ready for work

10:45am- leave for work

It’s a work in progress (I really hate getting out of bed) and my days off differ but I am trying to get into a steady routine for me and the girls. I think that will make me feel better and not feel lazy and I know it will help Aaron out too with things around the house.

I really want to learn a easy but yummy recipe to make fresh baked bread. If you have one let me know cause I would love the smell of my home be love and fresh baked bread mmmmmm 

Baking with Addison

Since it is the month of love we made some Pillsbury Valentine Sugar cookies with pink frosting. Addi poured the mix in the bowl while I did the butter and egg and then she held the mix all on her own and mixed them. After baking all 3 dozens we iced them and of course ate a few :P

I think they came out cute and just the right size for the little girls. I just used a teaspoon measuring spoon to scoop and place on the cookie sheet

It was a nice day of now work, nap, baking, and yummy spaghetti for dinner. Tomorrow is forecasted to be just as cold and windy with wind chill -15! We decided no school tomorrow and to enjoy being at home again all together.

PATIENCE

Patience is the state of endurance under difficult circumstances, which can mean persevering in the face of delay or provocation without acting on annoyance/anger in a negative way; or exhibiting forbearance when under strain, especially when faced with longer-term difficulties. Patience is the level of endurance one's character can take before negativity.

I am trying to work on being more patient and understanding that other peoples' actions our out of my control. I know God has a plan and for use to be at peace we must always remember that.

A few things I am trying to be patient about-

Learning to have more communication with my husband and being patient when I may not see his point of view.

Having patience with my girls when they don't listen and to remember that I was placed here on Earth to guide them to be strong Godly women and to make the right choices and show them all the love I have every day.

To have God place a lot of patience on my with my siblings when I don't like their decisions in life and understands we all have to make our own choices and own them. Even if I have experienced them and want to give advice I need to stand back and give them to God so He can guide them.

To let me leave work at work and when I am at work not let the stress get to me and be patient with all I interact with.

To be more patient with myself and learn why I feel certain ways about myself and why I feel certain ways because I know God loves me and will get me through whatever I am going through.

First 2011 Update

So an Update…..
Oh my goodness I have not post in months!! Well with the holidays, trip to Arizona, sickness, and work, work, WORK I have had a lot of time. I am having to adjust my schedule to make sure I get more things done and work full time. So here are our updates.

Aaron has started his VA benefits process and paperwork and working on getting himself better. Since he was in Iraq for 15 months it has taken a toll on him as it has for so many of our service men and women. He is still working at the hotel and dealing with little sleep but we are blessed for us to have good schedules so we don’t have to spend the money on daycare. Next up, getting his new big screen tv lol.

Addison is excelling in school and loves it everyday. She has learned to right her name and also write the numbers 1-5. She is full of question and even though it can be frustrating because it feels that she is always talking I love her curiosity for life and all the things around her. Next up, ALL DAY KINDERGARDEN!!!!

Sydnee is in a very interesting stage of her childhood. She is very clingy with me but is also very whinny at times. Her favorite animal has gone from penguins to now turtles (I think its from the continuous playing of Nemo) so we have begun collection Littlest Pet Shop turtles of all kinds. She loves to carry them around. We are trying to work on her speech due to since Addi is so vocal she doesn’t have to be. She starts school this Wednesday with Addi and we hope she enjoys it. Next up, potty training.

Kimber is crawling, pulling up to a stand, teething her two bottom teeth, eating solid foods all with the biggest and brightest smile I have ever seen. She is sleeping for 7pm-7am every night and just really enjoys life. Aaron is definitely her main man due to when he leaves the world ends. He must be in her sight. She has a ton of hair and is so long but slim. She can eat up to a whole can of baby jar food and still want more. Next up, learning to drink from a cup.

So that leaves me, I have been working of course and will be getting a new schedule soon at the end of February. I had a scare at the end of January which my dr thought I may have a autoimmune dieses like arthritis or lupus but thank goodness all results came back negative. I have shed 30 lbs and just needing 10 more to go. I am getting braces in April after my mom’s wedding and excited yet a little unsure. It will be two years of braces and I will start my 30 birthday with a beautiful smile  My mom’s wedding is coming up in March and so excited for her. Next up, helping mom with wedding plans.

You are now caught up and it is blowing snow outside and 23 degress. So glad and blessed I have a warm home and all my children are healthy and happy.

MAK Review: Maybelline The Falsies and Covergirl LashBlastVolume

I was not born with lush long lashes like some of my blessed friends (Michelle!!), but thank goodness they now have products out there to make you SEEM like you have those gorgeous lashes. I recently bought Maybelline Volum' Express the Falsies and Covergirl LashBlast Volume Blasting Waterproof Mascara.

Both of these could definitly be worn seperate but I use both (in waterproof cause I have over active tear-ducts) with the falsies first and then the lash blast second. They dont flake at all and the 'very black', which is all i every get mascara in, looks great. They only down fall I have is that it is a little more difficult to get off since it is waterproof. Besides that it is great!.

I have tried other mascaras that say they make lashes look longer or what not byt they do fall short compared to these two. They were each about $8.00 but well woth the cost. If I had to only live with one it would be the lashblast just because I like the brush a lot better.

So here is my second review: Oil-Free Acne Wash Pink Grapefruit Foaming Scrub

I have very dry skin and do get a lot of breakouts from time to time. I have gone through so many different facewashes and cleansers its not funny! I finally found this while I was pregnant with Kimber. I broke out so bad for the first 6 months of pregnancy and couldn't get anything to clear it up or keep my face moisterized. When I used it for the first time I knew it was a keeper. I use this about everyday ( yes I know thats bad not to use everyday but hey Im a mom and I get tired lol). It smells good without that chemical smell a lot of anti acne products have.

I want to try thier new creamy cleasner version they have now, but keep forgetting to pick it up at wally world lol. This facewash is very mild and little drying. I use a great moisterizer which I'll post about later. The little beads are not very rough at all so it won't scratch your face but does get a lot of those hard black heads out. Its about $5-$6 depending are where you buy your hygene products at.

This keeps my face clear and doesn't break out half as much as it used to. So in conclusion, it smells good, inexpensive, and really works! Two thumbs up!

My sweet husband bought this for me last week. It came as a kit except for the center bottle which I bought seperate. It comes with creamy lotion, creamy shower/bath gel, a small perfume, and a larger perfume with one of those old fashioned ball sprayers. I found out about this scent from my awesome friend Monica you was letting me use it almost everyday so I had to get my own lol

It is a very delicate smell and comes in pink packaging which I love! Here is the description from VS website, Sexy Little Things Noir™ is an enchanting blend of sparkling nectarine, sultry amber and exotic orchid.

I got the set for $58.00 and then the extra bottle for $22.00 well worth the price. I feel very pretty and a little sexy when I put it on and what girl doesn't like that? If you are looking for something that last a long time on you but not overbearing and you really want to invest in something that is timeless I would definitly suggest Sexy Little Things Noir.

Meet Waddles...he is a cute little peguine that enjoys cuddling and being carried around. He's owner Sydnee does not like to leave him alone and takes him everywhere she goes. He is such a loved member of the family and brings smiles to faces when he enters the room.

Thank you Waddles for keeping Sydnee snuggled while sleeping, a friend when playing, and a supporter of watching Nemo for the millionth time lol.

Roast, potatoes, carrots, and garlic rolls

I made some yummy comfort food tonight. I made a roast in the crockpot for 8 hours today. Rubbed it in garlic salt and the covered it with three cans of beef brith, two packs of onion soup mix, and a cup of water. It comes out really moist and yummy. I used cut up golen potatoes and baby carrots. For the rolls I did cresents. While they were baking I brought 2Tbs of butter and 2 Tbs of olive oil to a simmer and then added 1Tbs of minced garlic and 1Tbs of parsley and set aside. When the cresents were done while warm I brushed the mixer over the rolls. Nice dinner for a nice fall day!

Fall is here! I took a little time to make some decorated halloween cookies and they came out good for a first timer i think. I used a simple sugar cookie recipe and then made and colored my own icing. What do you think?

I took some vacation time and took the day off to have two days off in a row. I am trying to be productive with the house and things and then all of the sudden I was making hair bows and flower clips lol. I had Kimber as my little model today. I love making these and they arent even expensive. If I thought people would buy them I would sale them but sooo many moms out there do this for a living so I probably wouldnt get far lol. I am struggling with a decision. At work I have the oppertunity to potionally move to a department that I can bring home more money. However, with this money comes major stress for job responsiblity. We have been doing so well since I have been work finacially and this is the first time in three years. I'm sure I would be good at the job however I have been told by few that the stress comes from the expectations that you are required to meet every month. Work is going good still working extra hours but Im sure that will slow down in a month or two. Im still really enjoying my work just sometimes I need a bream. (Dont we all lol)

Addi is really enjoying school and if I took in this position I could probably put her in more days a week and we could maybe afford another car. I just dont know what the right way is. I LOVE working cause I feel like I am contributing to my life and family just have a decision to make.

On a side note: all the girls are fabulous and doing so well either in school or at home. Shelby is in 3rd grade and Kenz is in 2nd both love school. Addi can right her name and sydnee is singing songs with all her fav shows. Kimber doesnt like sleeping in mom and dad's room anymore so we before going to bed wheel her little crib to the living room and she sleeps so much more soundly. We probably keep her up with our snooring lol.

I have no idea yet which way to go, stay where I am at or go to a more stressful job but with more money? I want only the best for my family. So what would you do?

First Day of School and the Dentist

Today was Addison's first day of Preschool. We met her teacher Ms. Danielle and Addi was super excited about going. I pick her up at 3:00 and cant wait to see how her day went. Sydnee seems a little lost without her big sister here but we are spending mommy sydnee time together. Update on her first day later on.

After dropping off Addi I went to the dentist to get started in the process of getting braces. They were so very sweet and helpful. I found out that the reason my teeth are so sensitive is because I brush TOO hard!! Who knew right?! So I was given a soft brush and sensitve toothpaste and told to see how they are by Thanksgiving. I then went across the hall to the Orthodontics and have a appt for 09/08/2010. Its going to be a long process but in the end through all the pain, time, and money it is so worth it.

I have today off and then I have taken Saturday and Sunday off so to get some relaxation time. The weather starting yesturday the weather is cool and breezing setting in for crisp fall weather. I absolutly love it and I know others do as well. I want to buy a nice peacoat for this winter and knee high boots.

December we have been her a full year and I have also worked at AT&T for a full year. Wow how time has flown this summer. It has been a fab year so far.

End of Summer Review

Hello Everyone! I promise I am trying to do more blogging than once a month, but we all know life happens lol. This is kind of a long post so bare with me :) It is the end of Summer 2010 with school starting, Sunday night football, and cool weather. Im excited about this fall. Here are a few updates:

Aaron has been working a lot and has pre ordered Halo Reach with the special edition Halo Xbox. Xbox also has a cool thing coming out this fall call Connects which makes your Xbox like a Wii but its all motion sensor and no controllers!! Pretty cool, he is really excited about it to say the least.

I have been working a ton of overtime since the beginning of July due to work being high call volume. It’s good for me because of the extra pay and also its job security. Aaron got me the new T-Mobile MyTouch Slide which is like a iPhone and Sidek!ck put together. It sis sooo awesome. I’ve never been more excited about a phone. I have a ton of apps and it’s just the coolest. Lost a little bit of weight over the past few months so that’s good. Took mom, nana, and sister to the Bridal Expo the other weekend so mom could get some ideas or find some vendors for the wedding. She loved it.

Addison starts preschool August 25th and will go on Wednesdays and Fridays. We are going to take her school shopping for some clothes, new back pack, lunchbox, and nap mate. Did you know she can count to 5 in Spanish?! It’s so cool. She has been doing really great with Kimber and kind of a bully to Sydnee lol. I’m sure they will grow up being great friends though.

Sydnee is getting big and learning to talk more. She has a lisp so she says Addison as ‘Asson’ lol. She is definitely a momma’s girl and always clinging to me when Im home or wanting me to hold her. She loves to sing songs like Lady Gaga and Rihanna. She is a big dancer too. Those are some of her favorite things to do. We bought her Toy Story 1&2 and all of Andy’s toys and they sit and watch the movies with their toys.

Kimber is starting to rollover and is talking and laughing (baby talk of course). She is so long but not a lot of baby fat so looks like she will be the skinny one. She looks just like Aaron and her eyes are turning brown like Aarons. She has a huge smile and likes to stick her tounge out all the time.

I have been a horrible blogger lately. With babies and working a ton of overtime at work haven't had much time but I am fixing that today!

First off the girls:

We celebrating Sydnee's birthday July 10th who turned 2 yrs old this year. When I took her to the dr she was completely healthy weighting 27lbs and 2 feet tall. She is the most shy out of all the girls and has been very clingy to mommy lately. Most likely its cause I have been working and I only see her three hours of each day. Kenzie's birthday was July 11th and she turned 7. It feels like yesturday we were living in Colorado and she was the tiniest thing I had ever seen! Addi and I went to her pool party she has with a few of the neighborhood kids and we swam and ate hotdogs.

Addison is soo smart and her and I are going to go take her to get registered for preschool at TEGA next week and she will start in August. She has been begging to go to school for years now. We are starting with 2 days a week cause then next year she will be going to full day all week kindergarden. I know she is going to excel so much with school I so excited to see how she does.

Kimber is 3 months now and is still a ity bity thing. She has a new best friend Elle (a pink elephant soothing blankie) that she is really loving. She doesnt like the binkie but has a huge smile and my dimple in her right cheek. She has dark hair and her eyes are turning dark as well so I might get my brown eyed girl! She is looking more and more like Aaron everyday. She is sleeeping through the night and start to get more on a schedule.

Aaron and I are working on buying a house. We are taking the rest of this year and part of next to work some on our credit and then getting a VA loan. We have decided if we are buying a house then we will be living in TX for a really long time. I use to be really scared about buying a house but now that I know more about the process Im more comfortable. The house we really like most likely wont be on the market by the time we buy but we can dream about it lol.

Work is really busy but I really do enjoy my job. I have been looking at it more at it in long term as in advancment or relocating to another center like in Colorado after a few years or so. The options are there and Im happy I can work somewhere where it pays the bills but also I dont mind going everyday. We will be going to AZ for Christmas this year and we are super excited about that. Im not excited for the drive but we get to see Aaron's family and that will be good.

Shwooo, ok you are all caught up lol. I really am trying to balance more. I soo need to do some paintings (Ashli I'm trying lol) I am getting a booth with my friend Ashli who is a douhla and does a TON of other things as well to see if anyone would want me to make custome name painted canvases for thier little ones. We shall see. Well Im off of work today. Lots of cleaning and laundry to do.

I have been working a ton of overtime due to the new iPhone. Its a pretty niffty gaget if you ask me :0) I feel like I have been working straight for the past two weeks however and not getting much family time or personal time in. I still have to finish my current Cosmo before my next one come out! With the little time that I do have we have been swimming, cleaning, family time, and erronds. Wow am I exhausted. I have a whole list of things I need to get done like painting, reading, BLOGGING LOL.

Sunday Aaron and I went through all my clothes and got rid of all the ones he likes to call 'my sad and depressed phase' clothing. After two hours, three large trash bags, and a few tears (Im a boarder line hoarder) I have room in my closet and drawers. WOOHOO! I get to little by little buy new clothes. Since I have had Kimber I have felt my confidence rise so much! I walk a little taller, I dress more to impress, and I really think it shows.

Kimber has gotten so big now and is smiling and cooing and making great eye contact. She is sleeping through the night which is awesome. We are enrolling Addison in preschool this August for two days a week to get a head start for kindergarden next year. Sydnee is starting to get potty trained and is doing a fabulous job! She is soo super smart. She turns 2 July 10th and I cant believe it. Aaron is still working at the hotel and he and Kimber are starting to understand each other so the days are less stressful.

We are looking for a new car and are looing for a small SUV around 2005 price range $10,000-$11,000 any suggestions?

The pool is open, new swimsuits, sunscreen on, floaties blown up.....LETS SWIM! We have been really enjoying the pool so far this summer. This past sunday we had all the girls at the pool and let me just say that are all water babies!

Addi is a natural swimmer and is pretty fearless (scares mommy) but she did not want to leave that pool

But of course a huge thunderstorm decided to roll in with lighting and we had to cut the swimming experiance short :( No worries howerver, we have had plenty of swimming days and there are more to come.

The water was a bit chilly but we got use to it quickly. Sydnee liked to hang on to me and not use a float ring *sigh* my kids I tell ya I love them

I LOVE coffee and I start my day everyday with a cup of joe in one of my favorite coffee cups that my Nana gave me and yes it is pink lol

I also CRAVE a Starbucks Iced Caramel Macchiato. During the Spring/Summer its iced and in the Winter it is hot. Extra shot of expresso and extra caramel. I don't get them often because they are expensive but its a treat every now and then.

McDonald's has come out with a new Frappe which Im really liking. Not only the caramel one is yummy but I keep getting coupons to get a free small (which is the size of a grande at Starbuck's)! Hey, you can't beat free can you?

Mmm I think I will have to go get one now :)

My new hobby

For those who have been wanting to know what I have been up to in my oh so rare free time I have started painting personalized canvas art for some family and friends. Since I have 5 girls I have been working on some for them that I will show soon but for boys I have made a few for my close friends.

The first two are for my friend Lacye who just had her second little boy, Paxton, two days after I had Kimber. Her oldest, Maddox, was born six months before Sydnee so they are close to the same age as well.

This pirate theme one I made for my SIL Crystal's little boy, Bram, who is 8 weeks older then Kimber. His room is pirate theme so I thought this would go perfect in there.
This one is for my friend Ashli who I definitly consider a super mom since she is a doula, does henna, baking, and photography while being a full time mom to 4 kids. I thought I was busy.

I am thinking of selling some but don't know if Im good enough for people to buy them. We shall see. It will be more for a hobby than for a profit. I am working on ones for SK, Kenzie, Addi, and Sydnee so we can see some girly ones :)

Happy Memorial Day everyone!
I know a lot of people think its just a time for pools to open, summer to start, graduations, or a nice three day weekend, but do you know the real reason we have Memorial Day? If you have a loved one in the service or had then you know.

It commemorates U.S. men and women who died while in the military service. First enacted to honor Union soldiers of the American Civil War it was expanded after World War I.
Because we have two wars going on we really need to thank those who serve and have served. My brother, Erik, is leaving for the Marine Corp at the end of June to serve out country. My other brother Zeph leaves for the National Guard June 1st. I am a former Army wife and know the burden it can but on the men and women serving. Aaron so many friends get hurt and killed while in Iraq for 15 months and knows that honoring those who have fallen are important.

This Memorial Day really think about all those military burial grounds, each headstone has a name, they were a person, and that person died making sure we could live in a free country.

I personally want to thank my brothers for joining the services and protecting us and wish them safe returns home. I want to thank my husband's friends who died while serving in Iraq and to their families who loved them. For all who have died in a war and to those families that have lost someone dear to them I thank you for being there and sacrificing for each American.

Back To Work I Go....

I'm headed back to work on Tuesday after being home for 6 weeks. I have started quit a few post to be scheduled to post since I won't have AS much time after Tuesday. I'm going to miss my girls and naps but I'm happy to start getting a paycheck again so we can do things and get a new car in August/September.

We have learned a few tricks to get Kimi to sleep longer the 45 minutes which will come in handy because of Aaron working nights. I have started a great supply of breastmilk in the freezer for feedings and will be pumping religiously at work. Kimi is starting to become a little easier to make happy and is making a ton of eye contact and smiles. She is now offically 6 weeks old and doing great.

My MIL flies in Tuesday night as well and will be her for a week. The girls are going to love having Grandma around to play with and read books with.

I will be posting for Memorial Day so stay tuned for that :)

Coconut-Carrot Cookies with Orange Icing

1 1/2 cups coarsely chopped peeled carrots
3/4 cup granulated sugar
1/2 cup vegetable shortening
1/2 cup plus 3 tablespoons butter, softened
2 large eggs
2 cups all purpose flour
2 teaspoons baking powder
1/2 teaspoon salt
3/4 cup sweetened flake coconut
1 1/2 cups powdered sugar
1 tablespoon orange juice
2 teaspoons finely grated orange peel

Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C).

Place carrots in a small saucepan and cover with water. Bring to a boil, reduce heat and simmer until carrots are tender, about 10 minutes. Drain and mash with a fork; cool.

Combine sugar, shortening, ½ cup butter, eggs and mashed carrots in a medium bowl. Beat until smooth. Mix flour, baking powder and salt in a small bowl until well combined. Stir into creamed mixture until well blended. Stir in coconut. Drop by level tablespoonfuls about 2 inches apart on nonstick cookie sheets.

Bake for 8 to 10 minutes or until golden brown around the edges. Cool on a wire rack.

Meanwhile, combine powdered sugar, orange juice, orange peel and butter in a small bowl. Beat until smooth. Spread cooled cookies with icing.

Makes 36 cookies.

Show Us Your Life- Your Kids' (Future Kids') Names

I have always loved hip, unisex names for my girls and always had special meanings for thier middle names I have always gotten a lot of compliments on my girls' names. Here is the story behind each of them:

SHELBY KAY- While I was pregnant with Shelby I loved looking for names. I came up with Shelby because my favorite movie is 'Steal Magnolias' and that is Julia Robert's charater's name (that was her second movie she was in right before Pretty Woman). Kay is for my ex mother-in-law who also has the same middle name. Shelby is also my cousin Corbin's middle name.

MACKENZIE ALVA- I wanted to have a 'M' name when I got pregnant the second time. My ex, Tom, and I had decided that two kids was enough and that this was our last baby. I wanted Makayla but Tom didn't like it and thought up Mackenzie. I wanted to pass down my middle name of Alva to her since my Nana and Great-Grandfather Wally had the same middle name so had to pass the tradition on. We kept the name a secret for a long time so my ex MIL called her Shaniqua for a long time while I was pregnant lol

ADDISON FAYE- Addison went through about five different names til I finally picked one. I had the name Charolette picked out for a long time, but knew I wanted her middle name to be my best friend's name of Faye (she helped through a lot of stuff during my divorce). Since I was on my own and newly divorced I had to think of the name myself. About a few weeks before she was born I decided I liked Autum better. The night I went into labor I was talking with my brother Erik and he wanted to know what I had decided on. I told him to guess and that it started with 'A'. We were watching Grey's Anatomy at the time (one of my favs) and he said Addison, I said no but I love that name so I decided to name her Addison Faye.

SYDNEE EMMERSON- It took Aaron and I a looong time to decided on Sydnee's name. My FIL had suggested Elegence, lol which we said no cause it sounded like a stripper name. Aaron wanted to name her Allison so there would be Aaron, Addison, Allison. I said that was too close to Addi. I loved the name Emmerson but he didn't like it for a first name. Aaron's maternal grandmother, Mary Ellen, passed away while I was five months pregnant. At the funeral lunch we were talking with family and decided on Sydnee Emmerson for her name. My cousin also has the same first name just spelt Sydney. So again keeping the names in the family.

KIMBER BRYCE-BAILEY- Finally with Kimber, we really thought we would be getting a boy so were weren't really thinking of girl names. We wanted to do a 'K' name to go with our last name Klein. We couldn't think of a good girl 'K' name. We decided to name her Bryce Bailey, Aaron thought of Bryce and I thought of Bailey, until one night Aaron mentioned Kimber and I fell in love with it. We couldn't decided on which name to keep for the middle name so since Kimber is our last baby we decided to do Kimber Bryce-Bailey. She has the only name that has no family meaning behind it but we love little Kimi more than ever.

Sydnee- Baby girl, thanks so much for putting half a roll of toilet paper in the toilet and then overflowing it so I could take 30 minutes to clean it up. Also for the afternoon nap surprises that you do with your dirty diapers. That's a fun way to start the afternoon.

Now that I have had Kimber right before summer, I can now focus on losing my pregnancy weight and the extra 10lbs I had before I got pregnant. My goal is to be 120-125lbs and to lose most of it by July 4th. So here is my workout routine for the next few weeks and then I will add or to it after I heal some more:

Monday: Brisk/Fast walking on treadmill 15 mins

Tuesday: Brisk/Fast walking on treadmill 15 mins
Weights (Arms) 15 mins

Wednesday: Brisk/Fast walking on treadmill 15 min

Thursday: Brisk/Fast walking on treadmill 15 min
Weights (Arms) 15 mins

Friday: Brisk/Fast walking on treadmill 15 min

Saturday: OFF

Sunday: Brisk/Fast walking on treadmill 15 min
Weights (Arms) 15 mins

Ill be getting up around 7am starting Monday so I can get use to getting up, working out after Aaron gets home, then getting ready for work. I'm not going to change my eating habits right now, because I do need the calories for Kimber, but I will cut Dr Pepper down to two a day, drink atleast 3-4 bottles of water/vitamin water, and keep with my workout routine. I really think if I stick with that I will lose weight no problem.

Ill update my weight every Sunday with what I weigh and what I have lost so far. Wish me luck!

All About Me Mondays- Teacher Tribute

So there is a new blog that I have found MommyBrain which has a lot of cool themed post. Im going to try and follow and this one is called 'All About Me Mondays' she gives you a theme for monday and you then post on your blog and link to her site and read others. Its cool.

This week is about a teacher that influenced you. I didn't really have a teacher the influence me but I absolutly admire people who are teachers. They have a patience and a drive that is special to work with people/ I have many family members that are teachers like my cousin Sydney and Aaron's Aunt Jamie is a special needs teacher for kids with delayed learning disabilities.

Teachers should be more apprieciated and paid better for thier hard work they do and the great jobs they do without kids. When I was in junior high we had to take a personality test that would tell us what would be the best job for us. I took it twice and was always told I would be a great teacher. I have patience but I dont think I have enough lol.

My girls have had great teachers so far and I hope Addi, Sydnee, and Kimi are as lucky :)

Bathing Suit Season 2010

Summer is shortly upon us and what most women fear is swimsuit shopping. I have been lucky enough to not have to many issues with swimsuit shopping. Now I can't wear the cute two pieces anymore cause of the lovely battle wounds of pregnancy called stretch marks, but I have found a cute one piece from Target that Im looking forward in to buying.

Its very flattering and I LOVE the color and style. Its a retro look and I think its going to be great for this summer. Below is a cute toddler two piece from Old Navy that I want to get Addi and Sydnee. They both look great in blue.

I am working on a work out blog to keep track of my weight lose so when I get my cute swimsuit I will feel good in it :)

Mommy and Kimber's Favorite Things

Kimber is now a week and two days and we have been doing great. She is a great breastfeeder and a pretty good sleeper. So far there are a few things the we can't live without because the make everyday life so much easier for us...

Mam binkies, these are the same kind that Sydnee uses and they are great.

Nivea Lotion, more for me cause my skin has been super duper dry since the delivery. I just love how it soaks in and my skin feels a 100 times better.

Fisher-Price Nature's Touch Cradle Swing, now here is the big blessing, Kimber is in her swing a good deal of the day since Im taking care of three girls. She loves it and I think if I let her she would be in it all the time lol

Circo Swaddle blankets, my SIL Crystal told me about these, she got the star/car ones for her little boy Bram and they are so soft and big. They are perfect for swaddling. She is in one all day. She is definitly a swaddle baby.

Crico Plush blanket, my MIL Maria got this for Kimber at my virtual baby shower. Kimber always has this cause its super comfy and very girl too. I think we have our snuggle ( thats what the girls' call thier special blankets they each have.)

Lansinoh Double Electric Breast Pump, this was also a gift from my MIL. It has been working great and its what I will be using when I go back to work so Kimber can be a boobie baby lol

Vitamin Water, I like water but sometimes it gets old so I drink a lot of vitamin water which has electrolytes, calories, and is a lot better then plain old water. My favorite is Tropical Citrus which is also called 'Energy' lol go figure.

We sleeping is rough for me I get about 5 hours of total sleep. There are times that I have fallen asleep sitting up with Kimi and Aaron has to wake me up and tell me to go to bed. Kimi has a 2 week appointment next Monday and I will give a update.

Addison is turning the big 4 on Sunday so we are having a birthday party (yes there will be pictures) We still haven't decided what to get her yet but I am taking her some day this week to go pick out her cake. She wants a princess cake so we will see. Tim to go feed Kimber.

Kimber Bryce-Bailey Birth Story

Kimber Bryce-Bailey Klein was born April 18, 2010 at 7:58am weighting 5lbs and 13oz and 20 inches long. Here is her birth story:

Saturday, April 17th, I got off work early and came home. Aaron and I decided to go eat out with the girls. We wanted to spend Sunday setting up the baby swing, going to the store for last minute things like toilet paper and paper towels, and clean house for the induction on Wednesday, April 21. Needless to say we didn’t make the induction lol.

We decided to go eat at Abuelo’s around 6pm. Aaron had never been and I was craving so Mexican food. We got some awesome chips and salsa and queso and Aaron got two different margaritas, which I think it was very cruel to drink in front of me lol. I ordered the Nogales with queso and after eating started to feel a little crampy like my tummy was twisting. We left and went home and I decided to take at bath with Sydnee since my tummy wasn’t feeling good. After out bath, I put Sydnee down at 8pm and laid down in out room to watch the Spartan series.

At 8:30pm I started my first contractions. I laid in bed and just let them do what they were suppose to cause in my head they would stop but maybe help with dilating for Wednesday. At 9:30pm, they were every 3-4 minutes last about 45 seconds. I told Aaron that if they kept the way they were going for another hour we would go to the hospital. At 10:00pm, I told Aaron I wanted to go so he went and picked up my brother from work to come sit at our house while the girls slept. I packed the last of my things in my bag but thought that I would be returning home.

We arrived at the hospital at 11:30pm; I changed, peed in a cup and then had the dr check me. I was 3 almost 4 cm dilated, 60% effaced, and at +2 station!!! Dr Suit, she was the dr on call cause it was the weekend, said let’s admit you and have a baby!! I was 38 weeks on Saturday so everything looked good. I finally got into a room at 12:30am, Sunday April 18th, got put on an IV, nurse missed the first vein and had to find another one higher on my arm. I was started on antibiotics cause I was Group B strep + and also on a little pitocin to keep things moving. My mom arrived at around 1:30pm and I was handling the contracts great.

I was breathing through strong contractions that were 3 minutes apart last over a minute long. I told everyone that I though the baby would be born before 8am and that after I passed 5cm watch out cause I would go quick, no one believed me lol I was checked again at around 3am and was a good 4cm by then. That night there were 3 emergency c-sections and it was really crazy so I just relaxed as much as I could and embarrassed the pain because my body knew what it was doing.
Dr Suit came in at around 4am to check and I was still 4cm but said we could break my water. I have never had my water broken without my epidural. OMG did that hurt! Right after she broke my water the contractions were really intense. They said if I wanted my epidural that I should put in for in now because it would take about an hour for Dr Fey, the anastisiologist, to come. Good thing I did cause after about three more contractions I was not handling them as well. Dr Fey came in about 15 minutes later and said I could go ahead and get my epi. I explained to him that with Sydnee the dr that did my epi really hurt me and didn’t even wait till I was numb. Dr Fey is the most amazing person in the world! He did a great and was very patient.

After I got my epi at around 4:30am, it was a waiting game. I tried to sleep but wasn’t very successful. At 6:30am I told Aaron to head home real quick so he could check on the girls and get something to eat. Mom stayed with me at the hospital and I labored on. At 7am, there was the nurse change of shift and my new nurse came in to check me. I was then at 6cm, right away I told mom to call Aaron and to hurry up and get back because I knew I was going to go fast.

At 7:15am, I was starting to have contractions with the urge to push but didn’t want to get checked until Aaron got there. At 7:30am, Aaron finally got back and I asked to be check, I was complete and ready to push. I had to wait for the dr to come back from heading home and the nurse wanted me to do a test push. I told her no cause I push between 3-4 times and the baby is out. The dr finally got there at 7:45am and they started setting up. I was ready and Aaron was by my side while my mom watched. The dr said I could go ahead and push, I pushed 3 times and her head was out. She started crying before her full body was out lol.

Kimber Bryce-Bailey was born at 7:58am weighing 5 lbs 13 oz and 20 inches long. She was perfect except for being tiny. She was taken to the nursery to see the pediatrician pretty much right after since he was there doing morning rounds. Aaron went with her and the dr said she looked to be more of 36 weeks. After her initial over all check they said she was 37 weeks and we just needed to make sure her temp stayed up. I was really weak after Kimber was born due to not eating or drinking anything. I was taken to a mother/baby room at 11am and Aaron went home to sleep and take care of the girls. My labor and delivery was fantastic.

I was to have surgery the next morning to do my tubal, yes no more babies for me, so starting at midnight I couldn’t eat or drink anything. They started my IV again at midnight and Kimber and I stayed in the room nursing and sleeping. At 7am, Monday April 19, there was a another nurse change and was told that no schedule for my surgery yet and earliest could be noon. I called Aaron to have him come up and my mom and nana stopped by to say high around 8am. I was visiting with my mom when the nurse came in and said they are ready for me for surgery. Aaron wasn’t there yet so Kimber went to the nursery and I went for my first every surgery. When I got to the recovery area waiting to go to surgery they staff there was so nice and so was the anastisialogist. I told him was nervous about being nauseated after the surgery and he said he would make sure that he gave me something before I woke up. They wheeled me to the OR where I did start to get a little nervous and cry because I felt alone. The surgical nurse was so sweet and the dr then said he was going to give me something to go to sleep. As he was giving me my drugs it was a little burning so the nurse came over and was rubbing my arm. I closed my eyes and tried to breathe. Next thing, I wake up coughing and crying in recovery.

Trey was my nurse after my surgery in recovery and said that everything went well. I was emotion which Im told is common after being put under and that my throat hurt cause of the tube. They said it did take me a little longer to wake up then normal but besides that I was going to be ok. After about 30 mins they took me back to my room which I don’t’ really remember the ride but do remember getting back to the room and then Im suddenly on my bed with oxygen. Aaron said he thought something was wrong because I was covered up to my chin and then had a washrag over my eyes. I got to go home the same day and recovery has been difficult. They fill your abdomen with gas to do the scope surgery so I was in pain from being bloated, the incision, and having Kimber.

Since we have been home for a few days I am doing better today, my milk is in and Kimber is eating like a champ. Addison and Sydnee are doing great with Kimber and we are all adjusting very well. This was a huge post but I wanted to write it more for my records I guess. I have a ton of pics to go along because if you are anything like me you love the pictures 

We have an induction date...

I am 36 1/2 weeks today and went and saw Dr Broome. Well Im still 1 cm and no contracts since last wednesday. Dr said Kimi is low but no engaged and he thinks I will have her within two weeks and if not I will be induced Wednesday April 21st which is in two weeks!! We are so excited. Now of course I would rather go into labor naturally but Im glad there is a light at the end of the tunnel lol.

Do you have any suggestions on how to get labor going so I can go more natural or atleast dialate before I go in for my induction?

We are all ready for her to be here and then after she is born and recovery I get wheeled off for surgery. Please pray everything goes well with labor/delivary and my surgery.

35 1/2 weeks update

Last night was a tough night. From 10pm to 3am I was contracting regularly 3 minutes apart lasting 45 seconds. I tried everything to stop them from Tylenol, hot shower, lots of water, laying, walking, nothing seemed to help. I finally feel asleep from exhaustion. Went to the dr this afternoon and I am 1cm and Dr Broome said he isn't surprised Im already starting labor trends because of Kimi being my fifth baby. Lots of water and rest. He said anytime now so its a waiting game. I didn't go to the hospital last night because I knew they would either give me meds to make the contractions stop and I would feel like crap and turn me away. I think my body is just preparing and Aaron and I are ready for baby Kimi.

My mother-in-law throw me a virtual baby shower on Sunday. We used web cams and all of my in-laws where in AZ and opened their gifts for baby and we played some games. I got a nice electric breast pump that will be used a lot since I will be returning to work. Also some adorable clothes and blankets. Thank you to all that came :)

My birthday is tomorrow (April 1st) and my co-workers yesterday surprised me with a birthday pot luck lunch. I had no idea and its so nice to work with people who you can also call your friends :) My boss, Michelle, made a awesome banana cake with homemade cream cheese icing mmmm it was soo good.

Other news, my mom and Anson have been dating for 7 years and are now engaged! They are planning a wedding for next spring and I am truly happy for them :) Its been a long standing question if they would marry and I'm glad they are doing it on their own terms.

Aaron's parents are driving to Texas next week to bring us a few pieces of furniture that we had to leave behind. They are really excited about seeing the girls. While in AZ we stayed with Crystal and Tammy and I got to spend time with our new nephew who by the way is the CUTEST little boy I have ever seen and I am no just saying that lol I am having Bram withdrawals lol.

33 weeks

I have been super busy and have literally had no time other then sleep, eat, and work. I am 33 weeks and have a dr appt today. Everything so far has been good. Here is a picture at 23 weeks and then the next picture is 33 weeks..man baby is growing!

Aaron's grandfather past away yesturday so we are thinking that we are just going to drive to AZ for the funeral. So please keep the Klein family in your prayers.

Work is good and busy, Im ready to go on maternity leave and have sometime off :) We are ready for baby Kimber to come and have her bed and things already for her. After my dr appt I will give an update.

MERRY CHRISTMAS 2009!!!

Merry Christmas Everyone! I hope everyone is enjoying time with their family and friends. Please also keep in mind those who can't be with loved ones this year especially ones overseas. We are having a wonderful day and I have a ton of pictures to share.

Christmas Eve morning we woke to blizzard warnings and 2-3ft snow drifts! Aaron got the white Christmas he had been hoping for. After the sun came out and the snow started to melt we all knew that it was only time til it all turned to ice. Which it did. But we had a lovely Christmas Eve dinner at Nana's then went to communion.

Unfortunately, I didn't take any Santa or morning gift presents cause we were just focusing on enjoying our time. Mom made Christmas bread and I made ham steaks, bacon, and eggs. Oh my goodness was it good. Addi got a Leapster 2 and a VTech camera (which she has taken over 250 by now) and Sydnee got a cute baby in a sling, a talking puppy just to name a few. After the morning, Mom and Carson went to Anson's family's dinner and the other siblings went to their Grandparents for presents. Here are some pictures we took this morning.

After Tom and the girls left, Aaron really wanted a Christmas dinner and even though I'm making yummy tacos tonight he was really craving that turkey and dressing meal. So we bundled up and headed to Furr's for a great Christmas lunch. Luckily we got there before a huge rush. Aaron got a plate of turkey, ham, roast beef, with the fixings and was in Heaven.

Sometimes it is so hard to get that little girl to smile...

So a little update on this Christmas about Kimber:

How far along? 22 weeks

How big is Baby? 10.5-11.8 inches and a little over a pound. The size of a papaya. (She is still my Jellybean)

Total weight gain/loss: gained 3lbs since lasted checked at Thanksgiving.

Maternity clothes? going shopping for clothes the January 2nd for good sales since I only have FOUR shirts I can wear lol.

Stretch marks? just recycling the old ones lol

Sleep: sleep is still erratic and not continuous but I think I'm getting enough rest at night.

Best moment this week: my belly really popping out now and enjoy this Christmas with my family this year.

Movement: LOTS! She is very active after 6pm and its so cool when its just enough to feel but not kicking the crap out of you!

Food cravings: I want a bean and cheese burrito with extra cheese and a large vanilla dr pepper EVERYDAY!!!!

Gender: GIRL GIRL GIRL...that's what I'm good at :)

Labor Signs: Ive started to get one or two contracts everyday, but that just my body getting ready for this little one.

Belly Button in or out? In so far, but it will flatten out in a few weeks

What I am looking forward to: hospital tour, getting a house so to do a nursery, and continuing training for work, and bringing in 2010 with my husband.

Milestones: I am over half way done, feeling good, hip doesn't hurt anymore, and the baby is growing right like she should :)

My 2010 Book List

This Fall, I read two books by Jodi Picoult ( My Sister's Keeper and Handle With Care). After reading those I fell in love with her style of storytelling. I LOVE reading and many of her book plots intrigue me. There is always a twist at the end of her stories which really make the book worth reading.

One of my goals for 2010 is to read as many of her books as possible. So, below is a list of books I hope to have read by the end of the year. Most are by Jodi Picoult but a few at the bottom are from Oprah's Book club, and then the last is a very controversial book right now that I have really been wanting to read to make an opinion for myself. All of these books are very large but I find very much worth my time, I hope ;).

Right now, I am working on Nineteen Minutes, which so far is really good. Her books are pretty thick but I can finish it in about two weeks if I make sure to read at least an hour a day (which will most likely be on my lunch breaks lol)

Candlelights at the Ranch and Miracle on 34th St Parade 2009

So it has taken a week to get these up. I have been work my job for a week now and so far so good. Definitely in the mind set of being there for a long time. I will be getting maternity leave of 6 weeks so that is good. Just signed us up for insurance which have really great benefits.

Christmas is exactly a week away and all shopping is done :) I do have to work Christmas Eve 9-6pm but I get Christmas Day off WITH PAY!! Same as New Year's Eve and Day. Addison is getting very excited to open presents. No set plans on Christmas day though since my family does everything Christmas Eve.

Last Friday, Aaron, the girls, and I went to the Ranching Heritage Center for the yearly candlelight walk.
First person we saw was Santa and Addi had a huge smile the whole time!

Sydnee looked so cute bundled up like a little Eskimo baby.

What you do is walk around to these different early settlers house and see people re-enacting how families spent Christmas in the old west. There was a depot where some Cowboys were and one of them gave Addi some 'Cowboy Candy' (which is a peppermint stick). She held tight to it and ate the whole thing. Then we went to the 6666 barn to get hot chocolate and hot apple cider. Sydnee was chugging the hot chocolate.

The next night Tom, Shelby, Kenzie, Addi, and I went to the 5th Annual Miracle on 34th St Parade. Growing up in Lubbock there was one parade per year and it was the 4th on Broadway. For five years now they have the Miracle on 34th St Parade to help with Toys for Tots. Local companies and organizations enter floats to be in the parade and the Marines walk to collect toys for the Toys for Tots.

After the parade Addi and I went to the store and they had these cute little shopping carts for kids. Addi now asks for one every time we go.

Tom took the three girls to The Polar Express train ride this past Wednesday. I was working so couldn't go but Addi had a blast with riding a train, seeing elves, Santa, drinking hot chocolate, and getting a special bell. Hopefully I will get pictures of that soon :)

The Christmas Sweater

Last night, my whole family, and I mean my WHOLE family went to go see a special showing of Glenn Beck's A Christmas Sweater. The book is about redemption, forgiveness, and going through the storm. It is loosely based on his life experience and a great holiday book. I don't think there was a dry eye in the theatre.
The hardest part in our lives are the storm's we walk through, but do we ever regret walking through the storm to the other side? We can stay in our bitterness, depression, hatred, and loneliness and be a Victim or we can take that step forward trust in God that we have purpose, there is a lesson, and be a Victor!

Aaron is a huge Glenn Beck fan along with my whole family. Glenn Beck is very tell it like it is. We us to listen to him on the radio in Phoenix almost every afternoon we were in the car. Definitely check out his book and others and maybe even his show :)

It's beginning to look a lot like Christmas...

There is 18 days til Christmas and I have ALL my shopping done except for one gift. Pretty good, huh? We have been in Lubbock for over a week now and the current temp is 25!!

Mom put the tree up yesturday but is waiting to do ornaments for all us kids to help but I dont know how that will work lol. Aaron and Erik put up outdoor lights and they did a great job. I thought I would also change my blog background to go with the season :)

As of now I am starting my new job on Monday and very excited to do so. I am planning on making this a career and staying with the company for a long time *fingers crossed*

Little baby girl is growing big and all her test came back normal and healthy. Thank you Lord!!! We have decided to name her Kimber Bryce-Bailey Klein

I have wrapped all my gifts and I can't wait for Christmas morning for the girls and Aaron to open all thier gifts. We are going to see Glenn Becks's The Christmas Sweater on Thursday and then the Candlights at the Ranch on Friday. Very excited for some holiday traditions I use to do as a kid and share with the girls. Pictures to follow.

YYYYEEEEAAAA!!!!!! So we made it her early Saturday evening with a storm front coming in behind us. The 12 hour drive wasn't bad but tedious. The girls did very good in the car watching movies. Sunday was cold with a high of 43 and raining and then yesterday was 50 or so, but today brought snow this morning and there is more to come!

Aaron and I have scheduled our assessments for what we are hoping is our new jobs tomorrow and Thursday so please pray that we are offered the position :)

The four of us are living in one room o but Aaron is doing a great job of making it our space and homey. We are enjoying the cool weather and taking it one day at a time. We have our goals and one by one we are going to achieve them. We did a little Christmas shopping today for Addi and have budgeted out for the gifts we need. ill be doing some shopping with my mom this weekend so that will be fun.

Please pray that this job we are going for is the one God wants us to be at and succeed for our family.

So the house is empty, the trailer is packed, we have said our goodbyes. It is now time to leave our home and move on to other oppertunities. We are sad, heartbroken, and stress but also a little excited about what is in store for us in Lubbock.

I had an ultrasound Wednesday and we found out we are having a GIRL! Can you believe it? FIVE GIRLS!!! I just laugh thinking about it. I guess God likes how I make blonde hair blue eyed girls :) Kimber Bryce will be arriving sometime around May 1st which will make her my 3rd Texas baby. There were some concerns with some test we had done and I ended up getting a amnio the same day. We will find out the results Monday or Tuesday so we are keeping happy thoughts through the weekend.

Thanksgiving was great at Crystal's with the turkey to made being awesome. We all ate til we absolutly had to lay down. All the food came out great.

No Black Friday Shopping for me but then I dont do that any year. Aaron has been absolutly amazing with getting things packed, organized, and staying strong. My mother-in-law, Maria, has done a TON for us as well. So this is my last post in AZ. I will try to take pics during our move and post them when I have time.

Trials and Tribulations

I know I haven't blogged in quit awhile but a lot has happened over the past 8 weeks. The beginning of October Aaron was on his way home from work in Tucson late at night and a pack of wild mustangs where on the road. He hit two and killed one but thank God Aaron walked away unharmed. Our truck had body damage but nothing internal or mechanical. Unfortunately, Aaron's boss wasn't willing to help or give Aaron more work and our insurance pulled a fast one on us and to make a long story short we had to pay for everything out of pocket. I started working part time for Apple and I'm making $200 a week which is no where close to what I need to make. Aaron has put in an application to over 150 places and not one interview.
We have been pulled to our knees and asking God what we should do and what the answer is. With much heaviness in our hearts we will be walking away from our home and moving back to Texas with my mom. Good news is just today I was able to secure Aaron and I jobs with AT&T in Lubbock to start right after we get there. That is such a wonderful blessing and I really thank God for that.
The girls are good and I am just sad for them to be losing their cute rooms Aaron and I put time into. Little jellybean is growing and i am now 15weeks. The day before Thanksgiving I am having the big ultrasound to see if its a he or she! We will be spending Thanksgiving here and then leaving the next day. We are asking for all prayers and moral support from everyone. It was a hard decision but Aaron and I are getting more comfortable with the idea. I will be blogging more to keep everyone updated on whats going on :)

Went to the Dr yesterday for a ultrasound and checkup. Baby looks great and has a heartbeat of 143. My due date is officially May 1, 2010. I finally got some meds for my horrible migraines, extreme nausea, and pills to help prevent kidney infections. I like my Dr's office and all of them are really nice. I'll be having this babe at a different hospital than last time so I hope they have good food :) So far I have been really fatigued and not wanting to eat anything. My Dr said my headaches are so bad cause I quit Dr pepper and coffee cold turkey so my body was having violent withdrawals! Addison has said she wants a baby brother so we are all having our fingers crossed this is a boy :) Here is a picture of jellybean.

Labor Day Weekend

Well we took full advantage of the extra day off. Friday we helped my mother-in-law move some furniture, Saturday it rained all day so we enjoyed the cool weather, Sunday was the baby dedication (another post) which was really great and then Monday we did absolutly nothing!! Thats right we layed around the house I made an awesome breakfast of French Toast and sausage. It was a great holiday weekend :)

When you think of fall of course you are going to thinks of football games, expensive food at the concession stand, and the cold games that everyone huddles around. I LOVE football season. So growing up in Lubbock, Tx I have always loved Texas Tech Football and Marching Band. Tonight, they kick off their season in Lubbock against North Dakota. It's not on TV so I would be able to watch it (boo) but hopefully they will show some games this season.

GO BIG RED!!!! GUNS UP!!!!

Here in Arizona we do have the Arizona Cardinals which you may remember played last year at the Superbowl against the Stealers. Very awesome, intense game if you ask me. They play their first season game on September 13 against the 49ers. That will be shown on TV so I will definitely watch.

Camping 2009 LOTS OF PICTURES

The Kleins and Wheelers took a little camping trip this past weekend. We headed up to Sharp Creek which is 20 minutes north of Payson, AZ. Apparently, the day we left (Sunday) there was a wildfire that had been started and people have now been evacuated. Please pray for all those who had to leave their homes. We had a great time and made a lot of memories with our family. I have never been camping before so this was a first for me. Miss Sydnee had a hard first night but the next night was a lot better. I was a great mini-vacation.

We headed out Friday afternoon with a truck and SUV topped to the brim with supplies.

The girls were really ready to head out. I love the look on Addison's face.

Addi loved finding pine cones and going on explorations. We went on a lot of walks around the sight and at night you could hear the elk and coyotes. Eerie but very cool.

We went to Tonto National Bridge which has a beautiful waterfall. You can walk down about 300 feet and go into the cave. We had Brain (our puppy) and dogs weren't allowed so we went to the view points and got some great pictures.

This was a hole at the top of the bridge where you could look straight down to the bottom of the waterfall. If you look close you can see people.

After the bridge we went up on the Rim to a lake were we caught crawdads. By we I mean Aaron and the boys lol. Aaron caught about 6 and brought them home to put in the fish tanks.

They were pretty big too.

This is RIGHT on the Rim where the dropoff is straight down! Aaron was scaring me and his mom with getting so close to the edge.

I wanted a picture of us by the edge but then Aaron was pulling me closer and I was really freaking out. Can you tell I'm trying to resist? LOL

It came out great though.

On the way back to camp we stopped at a little country store to get some ice and firewood. I thought the elk was really cool.

Our last walk the morning we left. Over all it was so nice to be in the fresh air, cool weather, and spend time together as a family. I want the girls to be exposed to a lot of family time and trips and I think camping as they get older with be a big memory in thier childhood. Now I do have to admit that I missed my blackberry and computer but it was nice not to have to mess with those things either. We want to make it a yearly event.

I have been in the homemade mode lately. I made yummy, from scratch, sugar cookies and this morning I made chocolate chip and blueberry pancakes. Very good. I have taken a job babysitting a set of twins, Matt and Mandy, who are the same age as Sydnee. Its fun having them around cause it shows me what it would have been like if I had triplets lol. We went to their 1st birthday party last night and enjoied being around adults lol.

All is good in the Klein house. Aaron has been working really hard lately. Shelby and Kenzie start school on Monday and they are very excited about that. We are going camping next weekend for two days which will be an adventure lol. Ill take pictures for sure.

September 6th will be the girls baby dedication at church which we are also very excited about. Have to go get the girls ready to go into town. ***Sparkles***!

So You Think You Can Dance Finale Tonight

SYTYCD is my favorite show during the summer. This season has been really awesome and Season 6 starts this fall so I don't have to wait for another season. Tonight is the finale and we will find out who is America's favorite dancer!

The top girls include Randi Evans, Karla Garcia, Caitlin Kinney, Asuka Kondoh, Janette Manrara, Jeanine Mason, Kayla Radomski, Melissa Sandvig, Paris Torres and Ashley Valerio; and the top guys are Kupono Aweau, Tony Bellissimo, Brandon Bryant, Phillip Chbeeb, Jason Glover, Vitolio Jeune, Max Kapitannikov, Evan Kasprzak, Ade Obayomi and Jonathan Platero.

Kayla Radomski is who Aaron and I are hoping will win. She has danced awesome with every routine that was thrown at her. Aaron and I called about 50 times (equals 50 votes) for Kayla last night and we think it will be between Kayla and Jeanine. Fingers Crossed!

I am currently working on a blog but I am waiting for a few things. So I will do a quick one. I am sitting here at 7:44am with the girls still asleep and trying to type as quiet as possible cause you know little kids have sonar ears when they want to get up in the morning but CAN'T hear a thing when you tell them to clean their room lol.

Aaron and I are praying work stays good since we are on a little shaky ground with Aaron's work. Nothing he did of course but with the economy now a days its bound to through some snags into the equation. He is working today which is always good every morning. I worked with Aaron on Tuesday up in Prescott and some of the houses we went to were gorgeous! Awesome views of the mountains, a lot of space, we always look at a house we like with one thing in mind, "How will it look at Christmas?" Thats our favorite time of year :)

I think I have slacked off a little since leaving for vacation. There is usually always dishes on the counter or a pile of laundry that needs to be done or folded. I need to know get back into a 'chores routine' so that the house is nice and neat (well as much as it can be with a 3 and 1 year old) for when Aaron comes home.

Girls are doing great with Sydnee now walking (very fast I might add) and annoying Addi sometimes. Too funny. We are also looking at all our option and thinking about maybe moving to Lubbock, Tx in the spring. Of course we have to make sure Aaron has a job and we have a place to live but its an option. Its just soo dang hot out that we can't go outside without a pool all some so that is one reason. Reason number 2 is my girls. I could have all for of them together every other weekend which I know Addison would love!

The girls should be getting up soon. Tata for now.

Show Me Your Life-Wedding Party and Flowers

Today is Wedding party and flowers. Our little backyard wedding on October 27, 2007 was great with my best friend Faye(who flow in from California) as my maid of honor and Aaron's great friend Magnum as his best man. Faye and I made the arc the day before with pink roses, white lights and toil and it came out great and then the bouquets and boutiers the morning of the wedding. My mother-in-law picked out the roses and they looked great. Magnum, Aaron, and Keith made white boards for me to walk on in my heels on the grass. Addison was our flower girl and Skyelar our nephew was our ring bearer.

Wednesday morning I was at a very early dr appointment and I got a call from Tom (my ex-husband) he said they had driven to Flagstaff, AZ the day before and that they were coming to Phoenix so I could see the girls! It was such a blessing since this weekend was hard. I was able to have them Wednesday evening with them sleeping over and then Addison and I spent the day with them Tom and his parents by swimming and going to the mall. I haven't seen my girls since Christmas 2007 and they hadn't seen Sydnee yet so it was such a treat.

While at the mall I bought this Willow Tree figure for my angel. Aaron has one in mind he wants to buy and when he does I show pictures. I have fallen in love with Willow Tree and love collecting them with my snowglobes. This little angel will always have a special meaning :)

Empty arms

I had been waiting to write a blog with happy news but unfortunately that is no longer the case. Aaron and I had found out we were pregnant and very happy and thrilled a week ago. We decided that this was the last baby for us and would then be a complete family. Everything was going great and we were exciting to tell everyone. This past Friday I went to the Dr for a check up and they needed to do three pregnancy test because they were coming back so faint. They said it was mostly likely cause I was early or that the baby wasn't viable. I had told Aaron and we were sure everything was fine.

Saturday the girls and I ran around with Aaron and having a great day. We planned on stopping by my in-laws to share the good news but my mother-in-law wasn't home yet so we decided to tell them another time. I had to help Addison go to the bathroom since we had a long drive ahead of us. To keep it from being too graphic I knew I was losing the baby.I miscarried the baby that evening. That night we cried, were angry, hurt, and didn't understand.

Aaron still had hope until I went to the ER yesterday and the ultrasound found nothing and my HCG test was 0 (measures the humane hormone in your body when you are pregnant). I knew this and it was more conformation for me but it hit Aaron hard.

It has been a very hard past few days. Even though this was a surprise not one moment was this baby not wanted or loved. I feel selfish cause I want that baby with me. I don't' understand what lesson I should learn, I don't know why this happened, and my heart hurts more than it ever has before. I know that God had a reason and that we will one day see our angel baby but we were so attached from the very begining that I miss that baby so much. We have decided that we will have another but we are still grieving for the little one we will never hold, touch, smell the top of his head. Aaron found wild roses on the side of a road he was doing work at and got a small pink rose. He said he wanted to dry it and then make a small shadow box in memory for our little angel.

Please pray for healing, peace, understanding, and strength for Aaron and I. We will never forget our little one and I hope that he will always know that his parents loved him more than anything.

Sydnee Emmerson turned 1 on July 10th but we had her birthday party at G-Ma and Papa's house with all our family and friends. She got a lot of books and toys and clothes so thank you to everyone who came :) I made her cake and cupcakes the day before and they came out great. We had a big BBQ and we all were very tuckered out after words. Here's some of the photos from that day the rest are on my facebook page :)

This little girl goes to a church I attend in Chandler, AZ Cornerstone Church. She is very sick with a brain tumor and has already had her surgery but still needs a lot of help. Here is the video their parents did for paryer requests. Her dad, Aaron, is the music paster at church.

4th of July 2009

I hope everyone had a happy 4th! This was Sydnee's first 4th of July and we did have a lot of fun. We went to the Mesa Country Club with my sister-in-law. It was very hot and muggy but we had yummy food and saw fireworks. When we got home however my in-laws German Shepard, Chloe, had open the backyard gate and ran away cause of the fireworks. Luckily, she only went a few streets over and we found her the next morning by some nice people who took her in for the night. Aaron has had her since she was a puppy and he was very upset but everything worked out great. Here are some pictures from our holiday :)
